Innovative and rich with character, the Serpentine Suspension Light was born of the observation that paper allows a sense of continuous flow that is otherwise difficult to find in traditional materials. Replicating that feeling in a non-woven PES, and capped with a steel pendant, the Serpentine Suspension Light is perfectly suited for the modern space, with the innovative form of the lamp bending and shaping light in a range of appealing directions.
Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren form the innovative design group Front, located in Stockholm, Sweden.
Their approach to design is based around common discussions, explorations and experiments with the studio offering a comprehensive attitude towards their work. Front designs objects that present a story to the observer that is open about both the processes and the materials involved in their production, and in turn challenge conventions within the design field. Contemporary and highly unique, Front produce work that both defines an era and will stand the test of time.
