Designed to look beautiful whether in use or stored on a shelf, the Mere Bowl has a simple yet ingenious shape, rendered in durable ceramic stoneware.
A straight line down the centre appears to fold out to create the bowl shape, drawing the eye into the sculptural form. Underneath, a discrete foot raises the bowl off the tabletop, giving it a sense of weightlessness. The high gloss glaze enhances the shape while also making the bowl food-safe.
Studio Kaksikko consists of two Helsinki-based designers, Salla Luhtasela and Wesley Walters.
Specializing in ceramic tableware and wooden furniture, both share an interest in functional, understated forms that highlight each material’s tactile qualities. Working with well-established brands such as Muuto, they have designed beautiful high-quality products like the Ridge Vase.
