The piece is produced to Montana’s highly lauded eco-standards, ensuring that it is made in as responsible a fashion as possible at the brand’s factory in Denmark.
Peter J. Lassen is a Danish designer who, in 1982, founded Montana Furniture.
Following a career in the Navy, Lassen would join the furniture industry via a role at Fritz Hansen, where he would eventually become CEO. Following his dismissal from Fritz Hansen, where his modern ideas were deemed too progressive in the late 1970s, Lassen formed Montana around an innovative 60x60 shelving unit concept, which would go on to form the basis for the company at large. Lassen was one of the most celebrated personalities in the Danish furniture industry until his death in 2019.
