From Nikari’s 2012 collection ‘12 Designs for Nature,’ the December Lounge Chair combines locally sourced Finnish Ash and Oak with stunning leather upholstery. The result is an incredibly stripped-back yet sleek lounge chair, exuding earnest and sustainable intentions mixed with distinct, angular and purposeful lines.
For ultimate comfort, the chair can be purchased with a matching Ottoman, whilst a dining chair version is also included in the collection.
Jasper Morrison, born in London in 1959, is a British designer who has collaborated with numerous brands, including Flos, SCP and Vitra. Morrison has also collaborated with various municipalities across the world in the design of furniture for mass transport systems.
Wataru Kumano is a Japanese born designer who studied furniture design in Finland from 2001 to 2008, who after graduating became a design assistant for Jasper Morrison. Morrison and Kumano collaborated on Nikari's December XL Chair and Ottoman for their 2012 collection, 12 designs for nature.
