Reflecting Bouroullec’s drive to create practical, adaptable furniture, this lounge chair is designed to blend in with its surroundings effortlessly wherever it is situated. Its classic slatted seat construction is the defining feature of HAY’s Traverse outdoor collection, made from heat-treated, responsibly sourced ash wood.
The chair’s open, inviting form invites you to relax and enjoy the great outdoors and its ergonomically reclined backrest offers comfort while you rest. Whether used for private and public settings, the ash wood’s beauty is fully revealed over time, patinating to a silvery-grey tone that brings out its natural grain and patterns further. This organic ageing process enhances its allure without sacrificing strength, allowing the chair to be enjoyed by generations to come.
