Designed by Dylan Freeth, the L.Ercolani Lara Chair boasts a steam-bent backrest and subtly crafted details. The dished seat panel provides a comfortable base, whilst also allowing the chair to be stacked easily after use. Constructed from solid ash, the Lara Chair is offered in two distinct finishes: a warm, natural finish and a polished black stain. Classic but not obsolete, the earthy tones of the ash have a grounding effect on those nearby, bringing a much-needed sense of calm and alignment to a space. Contrastingly, the polished black stain brings an energising dimension to the Lara Chair’s simple form - subtly refreshing its surroundings with modern flair.
London-based furniture designer Dylan Freeth has been an integral part of the in-house design team at L.Ercolani since 2011.
Freeth began his creative career working as a layout designer but changed career paths following a fateful walk through a Parisian flea market. Inspired by the assortment of craftsmanship techniques and forms, Freeth decided to quit his job and pursue a design education at London Guildhall University. Freeth’s designs are characterised by their subtle functionality and clean construction, reflecting his informed, thoughtful approach to the design process.
