Claudia Valsells is a traditional artist and designer, working primarily as a mural painter. Her understanding of colour and shape translates perfectly to the medium of textiles, encapsulated in the Tones 3 rug’s overlapping swatches of complimentary tones.
The large central space is bordered by irregular patches of different colours, creating an eye-catching landscape of meaning that is full of endless possibilities. Sit in the centre of the rug and just experience the tactile feel of the textiles, or use it to anchor your other furnishings, bordered by the harmonious use of colour.
Born in 1969, Claudia Valsells began her career as a mural painter.
Studying her craft at the Brussels-based Institute Superior de Peinture Van Der Helen et Logelain, Valsells’ style began to evolve. Revelling in the use of colour as a vehicle of expression and visual experience, she worked as an artist and colourist before exploring the fields of both architecture and interior design.
