Vent, meaning ‘wait’ in Danish, was originally designed as a museum chair, perfect for taking a small break while observing the items exhibited. The paper cord seat is hand-made in collaboration with the Danish socio-economic company ‘Blindes Arbejde’, which employs visually impaired people in the manufacturing of traditional, handcrafted designs.
The stool provides extra, occasional seating in various locations around the home, adding a touch of Scandinavian simplicity wherever it is placed. A bench is also available in the Vent collection.
With a Swedish mother and Danish father Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm shows her Nordic roots in her designs through a minimalistic approach and strong combinations of materials like wood, leather and wool. Function is her starting point and dictates the idiom of her beautiful designs.
