Embracing simplicity in essential form, the Cala Metal Light reinvigorates the classic Marset Cala Floor Lamp.
Initially designed with an oak wood base to embody the traditional artist’s easel, the Cala Metal elevates the design with a sophisticated and contemporary aesthetic. With an aluminium base, the simple frame is lightened with smaller proportions and a soft harmony, without diminishing the intimate atmosphere generated by the soft light and fabric shade.
Born in 1966, Spanish designer Joan Gaspar studied Industrial Design at the School of Arts and Crafts of Barcelona.
The partnership between Gaspar and Spanish lighting brand Marset began in 1996, and since then, he has been developing new products for decades and steering the creative direction of the design firm in new directions.
