The unique design of the nanimarquina Re-Rug incorporates recycled wool from the brand’s suppliers, making up 50% of the overall total used during the weaving process. This process helps to shrink the amount of unmanaged waste produced by the brand, while also reducing the amount of new material that needs to be transported.
The resulting collection of rugs is both disarmingly beautiful and kind to the planet. The incorporation of recycled wool adds a rich depth of colour and texture to the finished design.
Nani Marquina studied industrial design at the Massana school in Barcelona. In 1973 she began her activity at the Selles-Marquina Architecture Studio and soon opened a store, 'Self-Decor', dealing in interior decoration projects. It was here that she developed her first rug designs.
In 1987, she established the brand nanimarquina. Influenced by Nani's creative background and desire for innovative designs, the brand are an outstanding pioneer of modern and contemporary rugs.
