The butterfly coffee table has a base frame intricately designed and constructed of bent plywood and veneered in a choice of black or white painted oak. Top in 10mm thick tempered plate glass.

The wonderful versatility of the base frame is that it can be flipped over so that the wider part or the narrower part can support the glass top.

Alexander Taylor

Alexander Taylor is a British industrial designer whose early work included developing contemporary furniture and modern lighting for some of Europe’s leading and most respected design manufacturers such as Zanotta, Established & Sons and ClassiCon.

The iconic Butterfly coffee table, which he designed for Italian brand Zanotta, received the Chicago Athenaeum Museum’s Good Design Award.
